Eastern Europe suffering from Eurozone problems (Vienna initiative II)
Dear reader, | |||||
one development with not much attention so far is the renewed thread to Eastern Europe as a result of the problems of the eurozone. (Hungary got some coverage though) A credit crunch is looming again and so the revival of the 'Vienna initiative' is on the agenda once more in order not to ditch Eastern Europe in the trench of recession again.
Not important ? Well not when one looks to Austria and other European states and their financial involvement in Eastern Europe even endangering their finances or at least their credit rating. So there is more to watch than "just" PIIGS or all the other fear factors of the eurozone.
So first here are some related links to prepare and a comment to recent developments might be posted later in the new opinion section of this blog. (So readers can choose whether or not to agree to some extend or to raise their blood pressure because of disagreeing completely.)
As always with rapidly developing stories of today's eurozone, you can expect some more or less rapid updates of this article, too. (at least some additional links can be expected) So rechecking it from time to time might be a good thing to do. |
